Understanding "Drops"

When you're boosting your social media accounts, seeing your numbers grow feels amazing. But sometimes, you might notice that after a while, some of the likes, followers, views, or plays you purchased start to decrease.
This is called a
drop — and it’s a normal part of the social media world.

Here’s everything you need to know about why drops happen, how you can minimize them, and what to do if they happen to you:

Why Drops Happen

Even though we work hard to provide the best and most stable services, drops can occur because:

  • Platform Updates:
Social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Spotify are always updating their algorithms to clean up fake, inactive, or suspicious activity. These updates can lead to drops even in the highest quality services.
  • Mass Sweeps:
Sometimes, platforms perform large-scale sweeps where they remove accounts they suspect to be inactive, fake, or “non-authentic.”
  • Engagement Mismatches:
If an account suddenly gets a huge number of followers, likes, or plays without other natural activity (comments, real interaction, etc.), it can trigger attention from the platform’s filters.
  • Quality Variation:
Some services are more resilient than others. That's why we offer different tiers (standard, premium, elite) depending on your needs and risk tolerance.

Important: Even top-quality services can experience drops during major platform updates — it’s part of the risk across the entire SMM industry.

How to Prevent Drops (or at Least Minimize Them)

You can’t control everything, but you can lower your risk by being smart:

  • Choose Higher-Quality Services:
Premium and Elite services are built to be more resistant to drops.
  • Grow Gradually:
Spread out your orders over time. A natural growth pattern looks much safer to social media algorithms.
  • Balance Your Engagement:
Boost likes, followers, comments, and views together instead of focusing on just one metric.
  • Stay Active on Your Account:
Regularly post, engage with others, and make your account look alive and healthy.
  • Avoid Sudden Huge Spikes:
Ordering 50,000 followers overnight on an account that had 500 followers before? That's a red flag for any platform.

3. What to Do If a Drop Happens

First: Don’t panic. Drops can be frustrating, but we’re here to help.

  • Check the Service Type:
Some services come with refill guarantees — meaning if drops happen within the covered time, we can refill your order.
  • Open an Internal Ticket:
Go to your Metrowage dashboard → open a ticket → choose "Order" as the topic.
Provide your Order ID and explain the situation clearly (you can list multiple Order IDs separated by commas).
  • Wait for Platform Reflection:
Platforms like Spotify, TikTok, and Instagram can take 24–72 hours to update their visible numbers. Please allow a little time before assuming it's a drop.
  • Respect Refill Policies:
Refill requests must be made within the refill period stated in the service description.
Some drops outside the guarantee window unfortunately cannot be refilled.

💡 Bonus Tip: If you expect a lot of public visibility (press coverage, viral moment, big collab), it’s smart to top up again right before it happens to make sure your numbers stay strong.

Drops are a normal part of working in the social media world.
The key isn’t avoiding them completely (nobody can promise that) — the key is being prepared, choosing smart strategies, and knowing we have your back when you need help.
